Binalong Bay is a small coastal town just 15 minutes drive from the East Coast fishing township of St Helens. St Helens is a 2 hour drive from Launceston making an ideal place to start your tour. Binalong Bay is the heart of the Bay of Fires with its orange rocks and pristine beaches. This area is the start of the Great Eastern Drive that rivals any scenery found world wide.
The Bay of Fires has been luring holiday makers for decades and in 2009 it was named by “Lonely Planet” as the worlds hottest travel destination. Bay of Fires is a place you should add to your Tasmanian holiday. It is from this destination that we conduct your speciality 4×4 tours.
What will you see? TAS 4×4 Four Wheel Drive Tour Specialists can personalise a tour to suit your interest and the time you have available. Our tours take in all the Bay of Fires from the St helens bar-way where sadly many boats have come to grief to the northern tip Eddystone Point. Here you can view Eddystone Lighthouse and the surrounding stunning white beaches. You will see the glorious untouched wilderness, orange covered rocks and perfect strands of white beaches. This area includes Binalong Bay main beach, Taylor’s Beach, Cosy Corner, and The Gardens.
There is so much more to the Bay of Fires than just being a stunning coastal strip. We take you to the hinterlands with its rain forest and amazing waterfalls. Driving through lush farming country exploring lost townships and absorbing ourselves in the rich mining history. Discover secret places that only the locals know of. We can take you to our secret rock pools and swimming holes.
